Anita L. Cusick

Hanoverton- Anita Louise Cusick, 74, of Whinnery Rd., passed away unexpectedly at 10:50pm, Saturday, July 4, 2015 in the emergency room at Salem Regional Medical Center.Mrs. Cusick was born April 23, 1941 in Fairview, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ralph "Pete" and Ethel Mae (Hall) Harker, and had lived most of her life in and around the Lisbon and Guilford Lake areas.Anita had worked as an upholsterer for Orts Furniture in Salem at one time, and also in customer service at Village Video and Tanning in Lisbon.She was a member of the Old North Baptist Church in Canfield and a former member of the West Point Church of the Nazarene and Lisbon Church of the Nazarene.Anita was a wonderful artist and craft maker. She loved to attend craft shows and "Christmas around the Lake" at Guilford Lake. She also enjoyed listening to her husband's band and was affectionately known as "Giggi" by her grandchildren.She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of 51 years, Harold Dean Cusick, whom she married February 29, 1964; children, Mark (Deb) Cusick of Austintown, John Cusick of Lisbon, William "Bill" (Shelley) Cusick and DeAnna (Bobby) Greier, Jr. both of Guilford Lake; brother, Fred (Anne) Harker of Sun City, AZ; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and many "adopted" children and grandchildren, whom she all loved.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Harry James Harker, Sr.A memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene, 505 North Market Street, Lisbon.
