Salem- Anna B. Shasteen, 88, formerly of Lisbon, passed away unexpectedly at 11:05am, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at her daughter's home in Salem.Mrs. Shasteen was born September 9, 1929 in West Point, the daughter of the late Harry and Lillie (Whitehead) Headley-Alexander and had lived in this area all of her life.A former member of the Lisbon Trinity Friends Church, she worked as a cook at the former Columbiana County Home and later at Windsor Manor, where she retired from. Anna will be fondly remembered as a faithful wife and loving mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed crocheting and collecting bells.Her husband, Arthur "Art" Shasteen, whom she married September 25, 1948, preceded her in death July 5, 2013. Her brother, William Headley also preceded her in death.Anna is survived by her son, Terry Shasteen of Rogers; daughters, Linda (John) Ammon of Salem and Patsy (Tom) McLaughlin of Clinton, Rhode Island; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.Following her wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed.Private burial will take place at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.Arrangements are in the care of the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.Friends may view Anna's memorial tribute page and express condolences online at www.eells-leggett-stauffer.com To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Anna B.
