Barbara J. Kreie

Lisbon- Barbara J. Kreie, 92, of Scroggs Rd., passed away at 9:08pm, Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Salem Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness.Mrs. Kreie was born April 8, 1925 in Lisbon, the daughter of the late Aubrey W. and Margaret (Scroggs) Blocksom and had lived most of her life in the Lisbon area.A homemaker and Christian, she had attended the Presbyterian, Methodist, and Baptist Churches over her lifetime.Barbara was also a local author and member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Her husband, Louis M. Kreie, Jr., preceded her in death August 17, 2007, as did her brother, Aubrey John Blocksom.She is survived by her daughter, Brooke Borden Brantingham; sons, Richard C. Borden and Robert S.
