Dean E. Ward

Lisbon- Dean E. Ward, 89, passed away peacefully at 2:20pm, Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation with his wife, Shirley by his side.Mr. Ward was born January 22, 1926 in Lisbon, a son of the late Lloyd and Esther (Biggins) Ward, and had lived in the Lisbon area all of his life.A 1944 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Dean proudly served our country as a member of the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII. He was a faithful member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, and had worked for the Erie Railroad, the Lisbon Lumber Company, and N.R.M., prior to his retirement.He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 70 years, Shirley M. (Johnson) Ward, whom he married August 7, 1945; sons, Gary L. (Donna) Ward of Lisbon and Tom Ward of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Lee (Mandy) Ward, Jaime (EaMaurio) Wade, and Lyndsey Ward; and 3 great grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary J. Hively, brother, Glenn A. Ward, and infant brother, Gary J. Ward.Following his wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed.
