Greenville, PA-Dora Carlene Richards, 67, formerly of Cherry Hill Road, passed away at 8:05 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014, at her niece's residence in Transfer, PA, surrounded by loved ones.She was born on June 25, 1946 in Witcher Creek, WV to the late, Robert and Rosa (Adkins) Parks. She attended David Anderson Junior-Senior High School, Lisbon, OH. She has been a resident of the Greenville area since 1985, and worked for over 20 years as a Certified Nurses Aid at Mercer County Living Center, John XXII, and White Cliff Nursing in Greenville; where she was employed from 1996 until she retired in January 2010.She was a follower of Jesus; and always treated others with dignity and respect. She accepted people and all of their faults and loved them without judgment. She was a true friend to those she called friends and showed kindness even to strangers. She was loved by many and will be sadly missed.She married Charles Richards, Sr., her companion of fourteen years, in September 1999. He preceded her in death in January of 2000.Surviving are: six biological children, Clara Richards of Big Rapids, MI, George Richards, and his wife, Shelly, of Greenville, Henry Richards, and his wife, Krissy of Houtzdale, PA, Dora Swogger, and her husband, Chris, of Greenville, Richard Richards, and his wife, Samantha, of Salem, OH, Mark Richards, and his wife, Janet, of Hersey, MI; four step-children, Charles Richards, Jr., and his wife, Patricia, of Lisbon, OH, Samuel Richards, and his wife, Irene, of Greenville, William Richards of Portersville, PA, and Madelyn Richards-Kelly of Transfer, PA, whom she had loved and raised; a sister, Darlene Jarrell, of Transfer, PA, formerly of Lisbon, OH; 20 grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous step-great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: three sisters; two brothers; three nephews; two nieces; and two step-grandchildren.Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 4 pm to 6 pm at Osborne-Williams Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 73-75 Columbia Ave., Greenville. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6:00 pm with Pastor Paul Mitchell, officiating.
