Helen L. Rohm

Lisbon- Helen L. Rohm, 82, of State Route 45, passed away Wednesday morning at the Circle of Care in Salem following a recent illness.Mrs. Rohm was born March 23, 1932 in Green County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Rex Smith and Ella (Shipman) Bissett, and had lived in the Lisbon area since 1969, coming from Pennsylvania.A former member of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene, she was a homemaker and had worked at various part time jobs after her husband passed away. Helen was also an avid reader and had enjoyed bowling in her younger years.Her husband, William James Rohm, whom she married December 6, 1956, preceded her in death December 5, 1980.She is survived by her daughters, Shari Martin of Thurmont, Maryland and Gina Rohm of Leetonia; sons, Douglas W. (Susan) Rohm of Lisbon and James L. (Dreamia) Rohm of Salem; sister, Hazel Stockdale of St. Petersburg, Florida; 16 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was also preceded in death by her son, William L. Rohm and sister, Mardel Redman.Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Pamela Gable officiating.
