Janet Macuich

Leetonia- Janet Macuich, 78, of State Route 164, passed away at 2:30pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,Mrs. Macuich was born March 25, 1938 in Ripley, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Clifford and Freda (Stanley) Parrish, and had lived all of her life in the area.Janet worked as a waitress at the former Wick Hotel in Lisbon for many years. She was also a homemaker and enjoyed baking. Janet also earned her private pilot's license and enjoyed flying with her husband. She was a faithful member of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, where she helped cook and serve many meals and helped sew several prayer blankets over the years.Her husband, George Macuich, Jr., whom she married March 17, 1956, preceded her in death May 12, 2007.She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Traci L. (John) Less of Baltimore, Ohio; sons, Gary L. (Julie) Macuich of Hanoverton and James A. Macuich of Leetonia; sisters, Doris (the late Gust) Hoperich of Lisbon, Joanne (Olan) Morris of Lisbon, Bonnie (Fred) Brautigam and Jacqueline (Kim) Matthews, both of Salem, and Debra (James) Carchedi of Struthers; brother, Ernest (Sharon) Parrish of Salem; grandchildren, Kerri (Matt) White of Salem, Scott Macuich of Hanoverton, Tyler J. and Taylor L. Less, both of Baltimore, Ohio; great grandchildren, Samantha, Austin, Alyssa, and Hayley White; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Janet was also preceded in death by her brothers, Orland Lee and Richard Keith ParrishFuneral services will be held at noon, Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Tina Gallaher officiating.
