Kenneth Gene "Kenny" Rudibaugh

Lisbon- Kenneth "Kenny" Gene Rudibaugh, 61, of Hoffee Rd., died peacefully at 8am, Sunday, March 2, 2014 at his home following a sudden illness.Mr. Rudibaugh was born July 25, 1952 in Salem, Ohio, a son of the late Frank E. and Marian Elizabeth (Millhorn) Rudibaugh, Sr. Kenny had worked for 31 years at Columbiana Boiler Company and upon retiring, he finally followed his heart and began his dream job as a cook at the Daus Dutch Haus in Columbiana, where he was currently working.He was a 35 year member of the Guilford Lake Volunteer Fire Department and had continued to support them with his prayers when he was no longer able to safely assist on calls. He had also served our military as a member of the U.S. Navy.Mr. Rudibaugh was an active member of the Winona United Methodist Church, as well as a member of the Heart of Emmaus Community. In his early years, Kenny loved to bowl, and one of his greatest achievements was earning his professional status.His most enjoyable moments were playing with his grandchildren and having a meal with the family.He is survived by his loving wife Connie S. (Reese) Rudibaugh, whom he married March 15, 1975; son, Cory (Becky) Rudibaugh of Salem, Ohio; daughter, Kristy (James) Erb of East Rochester, Ohio; brother, Frank E. (Evelyn) Rudibaugh, Jr. of Lisbon; grandchildren, Ethan John Thomas Rudibaugh, Kendall Mae Erb and Liliana Reese Erb; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Winona United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mary Owen of the church officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Woodsdale Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 5pm to 8pm, Wednesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and at the Church from 10 am until the time of services Thursday.The family also suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Winona United Methodist Church, 32114 Winona Rd., Winona, Ohio 44493.
