Korleen "Korey" Bowers

Lisbon- Korleen "Korey" Bowers, 57, of State Route 517, passed away at 10:24am, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the emergency room at Salem Regional Medical Center.Korey was born July 3, 1959 in Beaver Falls, PA; a daughter of the late Todd and Phyllis (Woods) Weldon.She was a loving, caring, strong and generous woman, who loved to go to tractor pulls and fairs. Corey adored horses and riding, and her dream to ride again was made possible in 2015 thanks to the Beaver Creek Horseman's Association. But most of all, she loved watching her grandkids show horses. She looked forward to youth rodeo weekends, so she could cheer them on and chat with her friends that she had made over the last few years. Corey had many different careers in her lifetime, she worked as a clerk at several convenience stores, worked as a home health aide, and was proud to have been an EMT for a few years. Her favorite job was babysitting her grandson, she was a lady who had many different traits. If you knew her and she called you a friend, you were lucky because she had no problem speaking her mind. She will definitely be missed by all, but never forgotten.Korey is survived by her brother, Hampton Weldon of New Brighton; son, Charles McCanna of New Waterford; daughter, Christina (Shawn) Bowser of Lisbon, fiancée, Myron Dillard of Lisbon, grandchildren, Andrea, Carson, Rydar Bowser, all of Lisbon and Isabela McCanna of New Waterford; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.Memorial service will be held at 7pm, Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Lisbon Assembly of God Church with Rev. Greg Pennington officiating.
