Maxine E. Stock

Antioch, TN-Maxine E. Stock, 88, of Lipton Court, formerly of Salem, Ohio, passed away peacefully at 12:17 a.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Stock was born June 3, 1926 in Chester, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Earl E. and Mary Elizabeth (Copestick) Durbin, and had lived in Tennessee since 2003.Maxine had studied accounting in Business College and had owned and operated Maxine Wilkinson's Bookkeeping and Tax Service in Orange County, California for more than 10 years. Then later in her life she decided to attend beauty school, and became a manicurist, which she did for a few years.She was a Catholic by faith, and had formerly attended the Highland Christian Church with her late husband Clyde. Maxine was also an avid bingo player.She was preceded in death by her first husband, John R. Wilkinson, whom she married in 1946 on August 7, 1987. Her second husband, Clyde W. Stock, whom she married February 14, 1997, preceded her in death August 4, 2003. Maxine was also preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Wilkinson in 2012 and by her brother, Earl Durbin.She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Lisa Wilkinson with whom she resided and her many friends.Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas Shoaff of the Lisbon First Christian Church officiating.
