Nila F. Hohider

Lisbon- Nila F. Hohider, 82, of Brookfield Ave., passed away at 6:40am, Monday, February 16, 2015 at Parkside Health Care Center following a recent illness.Mrs. Hohider was born May 5, 1932 in Salem, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Frances (Coulson) Hanna, and had lived in the Lisbon area all of her life.She worked as a waitress at many area establishments, including the Wick Hotel, Isaly's, and Red's Meat Market.Nila was a deacon and faithful member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church; the Couples Club; and the Rebekah Lodge. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.Nila is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert J. "Bob" Hohider, whom she married September 1, 1951; her daughters, Debbie Liggitt and her husband, Paul of Williston, Florida, and Sandy Liggett and her husband, Dan of Urbana, Ohio; her grandchildren, Zach Liggett of Marysville, Ohio, Jade Wisener of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Dustin Liggitt of Los Angeles, California, Rita Liggitt of Montrose, Colorado; her great grandchildren, Emma and Brylee Liggett and Cayson and Hollyn Wisener; and her caregiver, Joyce Phillips of Columbiana.In addition to her parents, Nila was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Darcy and an infant sister.Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, 111 East Chestnut Street, with the Rev. Cindy Carlisle officiating.
