Patricia A. Dailey

Lisbon-Patricia A. Dailey, 74, of Stookesberry Rd., passed away peacefully in her sleep at home Tuesday, April 12, 2016.Mrs. Dailey was born January 26, 1942 in Elkrun Township, a daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Hamilton) Toot, and had lived most of her life in the area.A 1960 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, she began working as a tour guide at the former Firestone Farms during the 1960's and 1970's. During the 1980's, she worked as a cook at the former Pine Tree Inn. Then she worked as a cook and as a bus driver for Lisbon Schools for more than 25 years.In her younger years, she and her husband enjoyed square dancing with the Square Wheels, square dancing club. She was also a member of the Lisbon VFW ladies auxiliary and the Leetonia Eagles ladies auxiliary, and she showed ponies for more than 50 years at various local fairs. Her husband, John E. Dailey, whom she married November 22, 1961, preceded her in death June 10, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Toot.She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Patti A. (Jim Todd) Dailey of Lisbon; her son, John E. (Heidi) Dailey, Jr. of Lisbon; her brothers, Larry (Susan) Toot of Rockledge, Florida and Gary (Sandy) Toot of Sunrise, Florida; her grandchildren, Mike, Samantha, Brian "BJ", Justin, Sierra, and Landen; her great grandchildren, Triton, Peyton, and Harper; and many nieces, nephews, and brothers in law and sisters in law.Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Herbert E. DeLong officiating.
