Richard P. "Rich" Hutcheson

Lisbon-Richard P. "Rich" Hutcheson, 78, of State Route 30, passed away at 5:10am, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Salem Regional Medical Center following a recent illness.Rich was born May 26, 1936 in Lisbon, a son of the late Charles Elmer and Martha Ann (Carlisle) Hutcheson, and had lived in Lisbon his whole life.He worked as a welder at NRM for many years, retiring in the early 1970's. While at NRM, he joined the Lisbon Police Department Auxilary and then became a full time Police officer with the Lisbon Police Department, following his retirement at NRM.Rich enjoyed square dancing and attending auctions.His wife, Nancy (Landy) Hutcheson, whom he married August 17, 1954, preceded him in death September 4, 2013.He is survived and will be dearly missed by his daughters, Paula (Daniel George) Hutcheson Stoffel of Lisbon and Billi Jo (Brian McNeal) Hutcheson Steves of Washingtonville; son, Perry (Wendy) Donnalley of East Palestine; sister, Eleanor Bilsky of Lisbon; brother, Charles E. Hutcheson of Lisbon; his companion, Pat Hoffmaster; grandchildren, Chelsea Jo Hutcheson Stoffel, Elizabeth Carol Pitsch, Kyle Steves, Ryan Steves, Richard Steves, Andrew Steves, Jessi Donnalley, Staci Donnalley, and Lane Donnalley; and his 12 great grandchildren.Rich was also preceded in death by his daughter, Ricci Ann Hutcheson Pfiller, brother, Edwin L. Hutcheson; and sisters, Ethel Hutcheson, Marjorie Hutcheson, Edna Hutcheson, and Phyllis Kusior.Funeral services will be held at 8pm, Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Tina Gallaher officiating.The family will receive friends from 6pm until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.Friends may also view Rich's memorial webpage and send condolences at www.eells-leggett-stauffer.com To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Richard P.
