Roger W. "Rocky" Nold

Lisbon-Roger W. "Rocky" Nold, 68, of State Route 45, passed away unexpectedly Friday night at his home.Rocky was born March 13, 1949 in Salem, a son of the late Warren James and Helen M. (Morlan) Nold, and had lived in the same house his whole life.A 1967 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, he worked as a certified welder for many area shops, including NRM, Pierce Welding, and Advantage Machine, where he retired from a few years ago.He was a classic car collector and enjoyed NASCAR racing. Rocky also loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting.He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran, having proudly served during Vietnam.Rocky is survived by his sister, Debra Oaks of Salem; nieces, Jennifer Joseph and Megan Oaks; nephew, Justin Oaks; great nephew, Alexander Joseph; and several cousins.Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Tina Gallaher officiating.
