Samuel Bowser Obituary

Lisbon- Samuel Err "Barney" Bowser, 76, of South Lincoln Ave., passed away at 1:27pm, Monday at the Salem Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.Mr. Bowser was born November 16, 1939 in Rimersburg, PA; a son of the late Jack Russell and Madelon Mae (Lytle) Bowser, and had lived most of his life in the Lisbon area.Barney retired as a heavy equipment operator for Buckeye Industrial Mining and had also worked for other local mining companies over the years. He was an avid horseman and member of the Cross Country Trail Ride.He is survived by his wife, Mary (Lawrence) Miller Bowser, whom he married December 31, 1990 ; daughter, Debbie Rockhold of Wellsburg, WV; sons, Jack Bowser of Calcutta, Tim Bowser of Salem, and Shawn Bowser of Millport; stepchildren, Edward Miller of Bonifay, Florida, Harold Miller of New Waterford, Danya Miller, Robert Miller, Michael Miller, and Reginald Miller, all of Lisbon; sisters, Shelby Dianna Glenn, Dottie Reynolds, Linda Marie Long, and Pamela Kay Reichenbach, all of Lisbon; brothers, Billie Orville Russell Bowser of Ford Cliff, PA and Robert Dale Bowser of Ravenna; his former wife, Suzanne Bowser, 23 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Barney was preceded in death by his son, Thomas James Bowser and sister, Patricia Eberle.Following his wishes, no services will be observed.
