Thelma B. PowellElkton-Thelma B. Powell, 89, of Elkton Rd., passed away at 3:41pm, Saturday, July 8, 2017 at her home.Mrs. Powell was born April 7, 1928 in St. Clair Township, a daughter of the late Holly and Rebecca (Shock) Davis, and had been a life resident of the Lisbon area.Thelma was a homemaker and had also worked as a custodian at McKinley Elementary School for 16 years, retiring in 1989.She was a faithful member of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene; life member of the ladies auxiliary; and the Lisbon Senior Citizens.She is survived by her sons, Vernon (Marci) Powell of Lisbon and Charles Powell of Leetonia; 10 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Darlene and Beatrice Powell; sons, Gaylen, Robert, and David Powell; brothers, Henry, Lester, Johnnie, Alex, Ted, and Dean Davis; and sisters, Alice Dean, Florence Snyder, Helen Homan, and Edna Davis.Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Brown officiating.
