Wilma J. Liggitt

Columbiana-Wilma J. Liggitt, 90, of Brenda Lane, passed away peacefully at 3:46pm, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the Assumption Village following a lengthy illness.Miss Liggitt was born August 4, 1924 in Jefferson County, Ohio, a daughter of the late John C. and Ethel D. (Skinner) Liggitt.Prior to her retirement, Wilma worked for the Clerk of Courts for Columbiana County in Lisbon.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her five brothers, John E., Charles, Rollin, Robert, and Wayne Liggitt; and by her four sisters, Thelma Hill, Mary Louise Denkhaus, Helen Halko, and Ethel J. Hiner.Wilma is survived by her brother, James Liggitt of Columbiana; many nieces and nephews; and her generous and caring friend, Mary Lou.Following her wishes, a private funeral service was held Friday morning at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Bing Newton officiating.
