Massillon-Franklin O. “Frank” Stockman, Sr., 81, formerly of Lisbon, passed away unexpectedly at 1:57am, Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic’s Mercy Hospital in Canton.
Frank was born February 19, 1943 in East Liverpool, a son of the late Raymond H and Eleanor M. (Potts) Stockman.
He was a proud United States Airforce Veteran, serving during peacetime. He worked as a security guard for Securitas Security Services of Valley View, Ohio for over 25 years until his retirement in 2015.
Frank was a member of the Simon Road Church of God and he served as a scout leader with the Boy Scouts of America for many years.
His wife, Linda L. (Felton) Stockman, whom he married June 10, 1961, preceded him in death October 14, 2013.
He is survived and will be fondly remembered by his sons, Franklin Stockman Jr. of Salem, Michael Stockman of Wellsville, Jerry (Petra) Stockman of Bamberg, Germany, and Charles (Gussy) Stockman of Canton; sisters, Vicki Lynn (Chuck) Howells of Greenwood, SC and Lynda Stockman Long of Florida; brother, John Stockman of Virginia; 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, and wife, Linda, Frank was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Grimm, brothers, James Stockman and Raymond “Sonny” Stockman; and grandson, Raymond J. Stockman.
Private visitation will be held for the immediate family and private graveside services and burial with full military honors will be held at the Columbiana County Memorial Park.
