Ada R. Swearingen

Ada R. Swearingen? Lisbon- Ada R. Swearingen, 91, of Guy Rd., passed away at 11:20am, Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at East Liverpool City Hospital following a recent illness. Mrs. Swearingen was born April 29, 1916 in Canonsburg, Pa., the daughter of the late Harry and Louisa (Ayceard) Reed, and had lived in the Lisbon area since 1947. She was a homemaker and member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool. Her husband, Joseph P. Swearingen, whom she married April 24, 1943, preceded her in death January 29, 2003. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ada was preceded in death by her three brothers, Larry, Don, and Ken Reed.  Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Thursday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Ludwig of the Bethel United Presbyterian Church officiating. Private burial will take place on Friday at the Columbiana County Memorial Park. Friends may call from 2pm until 4 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
