Carol A. (Gbur) Blair

North Lima- Carol A. Gbur Blair, 56, of Maplecroft Rd., passed away unexpectedly at 3:13pm, Friday at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital following a sudden illness.Carol was born January 12, 1963 in Salem, Ohio, a daughter of the late Steve Joseph Gbur, Jr. and the late Irene E. (Mellon) Gbur.She was a 1981 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School and the Columbiana County JVS. Carol worked as a floral designer at Pat Catan's for the last 18 years; prior to this she worked at Wilms Greenhouse and Floral in Franklin Square and at the Farm and Dairy Newspaper in Salem.In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and crafting and was a member of SCA, which is a medieval re-enactment group.Carol leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Richard "Rich" Blair, whom she married September 16, 1995; her daughter, Sarah (John) Sewruk of Salem; her son, Daniel (fiancée, Harley Davis) Blair of Salem; sisters, Deborah (Chris) Shivers of Lisbon, and Sharon (Dean) Ervin of Columbus; brother, Steve (Carol) Gbur of Garrettsville; grandchildren, Donovan Blair and Arwen Blair; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.In addition to her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by her infant brother, Dennis Gbur.Funeral services celebrating Carol's life will be held at 11am, Thursday, March 14, 2019, at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Chaplain Daniel Tayman officiating.The family will receive friends from 5pm to 8pm, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.In addition to floral tributes, memorial contributions may be made in Carol's memory to Angels for Animals, 4750 West South Range Rd, Canfield, Ohio 44406.Friends may also view Carol's memorial tribute page and send condolences at www.eells-leggett-stauffer.com To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Carol A.
