June C. Steitz?North Lima- June C. Steitz, 83, formerly of the Marian Living Center, passed away at 12:50pm, Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Assumption Village following a brief illness. ??????????? Mrs. Steitz was born June 4, 1924 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late William G. Apple and the late Edith (Clapsaddle) Apple Miller. ??????????? A 1942 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Mrs. Steitz worked for 35 years as an administrative assistant at J&L Steel in Cleveland until her retirement. ??????????? She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church; the Wilfred J. Clunk VFW Post 4111 ladies auxiliary; and was a former member of the United Commercial Travelers. ??????????? Her husband, Eugene A. Steitz, whom she married June 8, 1979, preceded her in death December 1, 2003. ??????????? She is survived by her sisters, Irene Herman of Warren and Mrs. Janice (Kent) Schmidt of Arthur, Illinois and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. ??????????? Mrs. Steitz was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Kenneth and Clinton "Bill" Apple. ??????????? A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30am, Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 935 East State Street, Salem with Father Thomas Eisweirth officiating.? Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery. ??????????? Friends may call from 10am until 11am Wednesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home, Lisbon. ???????????
