Rachel L. Willet

Olmsted Falls, OH-Rachel Willet, 82, passed away at 10:58am, Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Renaissance Retirement Campus in Olmstead Falls.Mrs. Willet was born September 9, 1936 in Lisbon, Ohio, a daughter of the late James and Velma (Green) Shattuck.A 1954 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, she went on to attend Kent State University, where she met her future husband, Dick Willet. The two were married in June of 1957 and enjoyed 61 years of marriage until he passed away in 2018. Rachel was a teacher and taught school in Lisbon and in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. She loved to read, garden and was a good tennis player. She enjoyed spending her retirement years playing golf and tennis with her husband in Canton, Ohio and Anna Maria Island, Florida. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will dearly be missed. She is survived by her sons, Lee (Kathryn) in Boynton Beach, Fl and Dan (Lori) in Broadview Heights, OH; her sister, Nancy Shattuck in Lisbon, Ohio; and by her five grandchildren, Spencer, Jack, Marshal, Kaylee and Taylor.Private funeral services and burial will be held Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Lisbon Cemetery with the Rev.
