William L. Madison

Leetonia-William Leroy "Bill" Madison, 81, of Fairfield School Rd., passed away at 5am, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center following a sudden illness.Mr. Madison was born February 13, 1937 in Salineville, Ohio, a son of the late Leroy C. and Virginia M. (Maple) Madison.He was an owner/operator long haul truck driver for over 40 years. He also was a parts runner for Buckeye Industrial Mining and Rosebud Mining, retiring in 2012. He was a "Jack of All Trades" and could do almost anything. He loved carpentry and woodworking, watching high school football and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also loved his dogs. Bill was a good man and made many friends throughout his travels, and will be sadly missed.His wife, Lois I. (Crowl) Madison, whom he married July 10, 1956, preceded him in death May 22, 2013. He was also preceded in death by 3 infant sisters, and his sister, Pricilla Bycroft.Bill is survived and will be dearly remembered by his daughter, Lisa (Jim) Cibula of Leetonia; his son, Mike (Nancy) Madison of Salem; his sisters, Karen (Rick) Taff and Cathy (Doug) Hart, both of Minerva; and his brothers, Jimmy (Judy) Madison of Salineville, Alvin (Lota) Madison of Minerva, and David (Laurie) Madison of Austintown. He also leaves to cherish his memory his 7 grandchildren and his 13 great grandchildren.The family will hold a private celebration of Bill's life at his cousin's home.
