Eldon G. Weyand

New Waterford- Eldon G. Weyand, 70, of Riffle Rd., passed away peacefully at 12:45am, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Salem Region Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.Mr. Weyand was born May 3, 1947 in Salem, a son of the late Dwight and Mary (Stahl) Weyand, and had lived most of his adult life in this area.Eldon worked as a welder and retired as a truck driver for Three S Express of North Lima, where he worked for 13 years.A hardworking man, he built his first house and loved working around the house and doing yard work. He also owned E Weyand Tent Company and was a partner with the Rent-A-Tent Company.Eldon also proudly served our county during the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Army.He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife, Donna (Kotsch) Weyand, whom he married August 15, 1966; sons, Matthew (Gretchen) Weyand of Columbiana and Jason (Danielle) Weyand of East Liverpool; sisters, Iona Libert of Lisbon, Mary Brown of Georgia, and Alice Smoot of Akron; brothers, Cody of East Liverpool and Dwight of Arkansas; 4 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his special son, Rod (April) Schultz; and his fur kids, Holly Sue and Leroy.In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 7 siblings.Private graveside services and burial will be held at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.Arrangements are in the care of the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.Friends may also view Eldon's memorial tribute page and express condolences to the family online at www.eells-leggett-stauffer.com To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Eldon G.
