Harriett L. Daugherty

Harriett L. Daugherty West Chester, OH- Harriett L. Daugherty, 91, of Chesterwood Village, formerly of Hammondsville, passed away at 8:17am, Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati. Mrs. Daugherty was born December 9, 1916 in Kelleys Island, Ohio, a daughter of the late Adam and Katharine (Geiger) Gettman, and had lived most of her life in Ohio. A homemaker, Harriett was a member of the River Christians Fellowship Church of Wellsville. Her husband, H. Dwight "Gid" Daugherty, whom she married June 9, 1958, preceded her in death November 11, 2005. She is survived and will be dearly remembered by her son, David Brant (Mary Beth) Daugherty of Mason, Ohio; her sister, Hope Fairbanks of Austintown, OH; her brothers, Bert (Judy) Gettman of North Jackson, OH, and Alvin (Patsy) Gettman of Temecula CA; her sister-in-law, Grace Gettman of Austintown, OH; and her grandchildren Adam, and Kathleen Daugherty, of Mason, OH and Brant Daugherty of Glendale, CA. Mrs. Daugherty was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ada Marie Zander, Kathryn Bishop, and Carol Link; and her brothers, Carl Gettman and Homer Gettman. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday October 18, 2008 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
