Mary Berkheimer Obituary

Lisbon- Mary E. Berkheimer, 75, of Wayne Bridge Rd., passed away peacefully at 4:08am, Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Salem Regional Medical Center.Mrs. Berkheimer was born May 16, 1941 in Pine Grove, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Emery Earl Gilbert and the late Georgia Ernestine (Barker) Bennett, and had lived in the area most of her life.She was a homemaker and had attended the Salem Church of God. Mary also enjoyed sewing and quilting for the Johnny Appleseed Festival and she volunteered at the Way Station with many of their fundraising drives.She is survived by her husband, Arthur W. Berkheimer, whom she married October 1, 1960; daughters, Melody (John) Alflen of Leetonia and Tammy Kalbfell of Lisbon; son, John Berkheimer of Lisbon; sister, Lana Bennett and brother, Rick Bennett, both of East Liverpool; grandchildren, Dylan Kuzemchak, Dustin Garrett, Cassandra Garrett, Maria Berkheimer, Christopher Berkheimer, Shelly Pugh, and Daniel Miller; and great grandchildren, Arielle Patton, Liam Garrett, and Shelby Berkheimer.In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Ralph Berkheimer; brother, Jack Gilbert; sister, Patty Hayhurst; and granddaughter, Brandy Kalbfell.Private family services will be held at a later date.Arrangements are in the care of the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral HomeFriends may view Mary's memorial tribute page and send condolences online at www.eells-leggett-stauffer.com To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Mary E.
