Ona Mae Erath

Salem- Ona Mae Rufener Erath, 87, of West Pine Lake Rd., passed away peacefully early Saturday morning at her home.Mrs. Erath was born August 25, 1931 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Theodore and Corinne (Cusick) Rufener.A 1949 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Ona Mae had worked at the Columbiana County Health Department and later at Home Care Advantage.She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Salem, where she served as a Deacon and member of the Presbyterian Women's group-February Circle; member of the Salem Historical Society; Eastern Star; AARP of Canfield; and former member of the Salem Elks Auxiliary, where she served as President and Secretary.Her husband, Charles Erath, whom she married April 25, 1964, preceded her in death April 20, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harry Rufener.Ona Mae is survived by her sister, Eileen Robertson; nephews, Mark, Todd, Scott (Ashleigh) Robertson; and great niece, Loralei Robertson, all of North Carolina.Following her wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed. Private burial will take place in the Lisbon Cemetery.
