Carol Kniseley Obituary

Guilford Lake-Carol Elaine Kniseley, 82, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Blossom Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation with her loving husband Dan by her side.

She was born on April 17, 1943, a daughter of the late Clay Poynter and Pearl (Reardon) Poynter Justice and had lived in the area all of her life.

Carol devoted much of her life to caring for others. She had worked as an aide at the Columbiana County Home, where her compassion and gentle spirit touched the lives of many.  She had also worked at Warren Molded Plastic for some time.

On April 9, 2005, Carol married Daniel Kniseley, and together they shared companionship, love, and simple joys. Carol will be deeply missed by her beloved daughter, Debbie Seevers; her stepson, Josh Kniseley; daughter-in-law, Trudie (John) Campbell; her brothers, Chuck Poynter, Coleman (Terri) Poynter, and Raymond (Kathy) Poynter; and by her treasured granddaughter, Bailey McGrady, who brought her immense pride and joy.

Carol especially enjoyed listening to her favorite country music, with Conway Twitty holding a special place in her heart. She found happiness in the quiet moments—working in her home, listening to music, and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Charles “Ted” Seevers; her son, Brian K. Seevers; and by her brothers, Ralph Eugene Poynter, Clifford Poynter, and Merle Poynter.

Carol will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring heart, and unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Iden officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11am until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
