Carol J. Reed

Leetonia-Carol J. Reed, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Parkside Health Care Center.

Mrs. Reed was born August 21, 1937 in Coshocton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Gerald and Geneva Pearl (Maple) Fitch and she had lived in the Lisbon and Leetonia areas since the 1960’s.

A 1956 graduate of Coshocton High School, Carol worked as a cashier at the former Hillyer’s Fine Foods in Lisbon.

She was also a former member of the Grace Methodist Church and loved to travel.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 65 years, Ralph Reed, whom she married June 25, 1960; her daughters, Renee (Dale) Baker of Lisbon and Lisa Davis of Lisbon; her son, Greg (Barbara) Reed of Leetonia; sister, Joyce (Larry) Carroll of Arizona; brothers, Eddie (Barb) Fitch and Jack (Dawn) Fitch, both of Coshocton; sister-in-law, Joanne Fitch of Coshocton; brother-in-law, Donnie Vickers; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Carol was also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Vickers and by her brother, Raymond Fitch.

Funeral services will be held at 12pm (noon), Friday, July 11, 2025 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Dana Blackburn officiating.  Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.

The family will receive guests from 11am until noon on Friday at the funeral home.
