Claremore, OK-Cheryl Sue Macuich, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.
Cheryl was born November 3, 1944 in East Liverpool, a daughter of the late Fred and Hilda (Reed) Carlisle. She lived in Lisbon most of her life, but most recently lived in Claremore, OK.
A 1962 graduate of Beaver Local High School, Cheryl was retired but had worked at the A&P packing plant in Salem, Ohio; Deming Pump in Salem, OH; General Commercial Corporation in Sebring, OH; and Jasper Engines and Transmissions in Jasper, IN where she retired.
Cheryl loved crafting, shopping, and playing with her dog, Charlie. She enjoyed being outside sitting in the sun with friends. Cheryl loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she loved the holidays.
Cheryl is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Deborah (Patrick) Hostetter of Port Hueneme, CA and Dianna (Daniel) Davis of Claremore, OK. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Dustin (Alexa) Borg and Jacob (Angelina) Borg, both of Fairmont, WV, Alayna (Timothy) Livingston of Claremore, OK and Mark (Mariana) Davis of Broken Arrow, OK, Tatum Hostetter and Sage (Brennen) Hostetter both of Port Hueneme, CA; and one great-grandchild, Summer Hostetter of Port Hueneme, CA.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was also preceded in death by her sisters, Rebecca Harrison and Marilyn Hamblen; her brother, Fred Carlisle; and by her nephew, John Hamblen.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 2509 SE Washington Blvd., Bartlesville, OK 74006.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, December 21, 2024 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Pat Smith officiating. Private burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family from 6pm to 8pm Friday at the funeral home.
