Warren, OH-Clara I. Nold, 95, formerly of Lisbon, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the Windsor House at Champion.
Mrs. Nold was born January 11, 1929 in Mannington, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Walter H. and Jeanette (Houseman) Zundel, and had moved to the Lisbon area in the early 1950’s.
Following high school, Clara furthered her education by attending secretarial school and had worked as a secretary at Columbiana Pump Company, where she met her husband.
A homemaker, loving wife and mother, Clara was a former member of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the church choir for many years and had been currently worshipping at Believers Church in Warren. She was also a member of the Lisbon Music Club.
Her husband, S. Edward Nold, whom she married August 16, 1953, preceded her in death November 27, 1985.
Clara leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, David (Valarie) Nold of Cranberry Township, PA, Daniel (the late Kelly) Nold of Lisbon, and Derek (Shana) Nold of Hudson; grandchildren, Evan, Zane, Scarlett, and Ruby Nold; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, and husband, Clara was also preceded in death by her son, Douglas Nold; sisters, Rhoda Morlan and Jane Hacker; and by her brothers, John, Jacob, and Walter Zundel.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Carter officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends from 6pm to 8pm Monday at the funeral home.
