Lisbon-Dean Blackburn, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Continuing Healthcare of Lisbon.
Dean was born April 28, 1940 in McCombs, Kentucky, a son of the late Lewis and Mavis (Justice) Blackburn and had lived in the area all of his life.
He worked as a machinist at NRM until it closed, and then he worked as a courier with former Sky Bank, until his retirement on June 30, 2006.
A member of the Highlandtown United Methodist Church, Dean was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Salineville Masonic Lodge.
Dean also proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sally (Gamble) Blackburn, whom he married March 11, 1961, his daughter, Deanna (David) Smith; sister, Eulevene Whitehair; brother, James (Pattie) Blackburn; granddaughters, Mallory Smith and Emily Smith; great granddaughter, Laney Brinker; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dean was also preceded in death by his son, Craig Blackburn, and by his brother, Leslie Blackburn, Sr.
Following his wishes, no services will be observed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
