Salineville-Diane L. Brothers went home to be with the love of her life, Jesus, at the age of 72 on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Diane was born February 2, 1953, in New Castle, PA., the daughter of the late David L. and Ada R. (Cameron) Fisher.
A 1971 graduate of Mercer High School, Diane furthered her education at Youngstown Business College, where she earned a degree in merchandising. Using her gift of perceiving the seasons, Diane excelled as a fashion merchandiser at J.C. Penney in Hermitage.
As a young adult in the heart of the Jesus Movement, Diane would attend weekly meetings at The Barn in Mercer where she sat barefoot on bales of hay, absorbing the Word of God and worshipping Him.
God was orchestrating her life when Raymond Craig Brothers instantly fell in love with this beauty in her red Firebird. The two married on October 4, 1975 and began their adventure which led all the way from Mercer, PA to Salineville, OH.
In Salineville, Diane created a home which reflected the beauty and nature of Jesus, and with her gift for hospitality, many would come to sit around her table to find comfort and hope in their times of difficulty.
Diane helped to establish Fellowship of the Beloved Church (FOTB). From cleaning, decorating, and cooking to leading youth and hosting a home group, Diane was a cornerstone at FOTB.
Most of all, Diane felt that her highest calling was to bind up the broken-hearted and to bring the love of the Jesus to others. She was a person who sought out those who were struggling and in need of a listening ear to help them experience the love of Jesus. This was her ministry, and she helped so many.
Diane leaves to cherish her precious memory, her husband of 50 years, Raymond Craig Brothers; her children, Lacey (Marcus) Calhoun and Brady (Maria) Brothers; her brother, David C. Fisher; her grandchildren, Samuel (Katrina) Brothers, Josiah Brothers, Ellis Brothers, Aliyah Brothers, and Haila Brothers; great grandchildren, Carter Brothers and Ivy Brothers; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous beloved friends.
A funeral service celebrating Diane’s life and legacy will be held at 11am, Monday, September 22, 2025 at the Fellowship of the Beloved Church, 13696 Bethesda Rd., Hanoverton, Ohio 44423 with Pastor Rick Lautzenheiser officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
The family will receive guests from 3pm to 7pm, Sunday and from 10am Monday until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Fellowship of the Beloved Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
