Lisbon- Earl E. Scyoc, Sr., 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Continuing Healthcare of Lisbon.
Earl was born October 19, 1949 in Wetzel County, West Virginia, a son of the late Clarence W. and Ida Mae (Yoho) Scyoc and had lived in the area since 1968.
Earl worked as a welder at Columbiana Boiler for 42 years, retiring in 2012, as well as farming the family farm.
In his spare time, he enjoyed being out in the woods with his dog, coon hunting.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda (Burkey) Scyoc, whom he married October 20, 1970; daughter, Jennifer (Dave) Strabala; son, Earl E. (Karen) Scyoc, Jr; sisters, Olive Carl, Shirley (A.D.) Morris, Sharon Scyoc, Cheryl (Chris) Hillberry; brothers, Ed Scyoc and Jimmy Scyoc; granddaughter, Elizabeth Scyoc; grandson, Nate Strabala; great granddaughter, Ella Jane Strabala; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to his parents, Earl was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and David Scyoc; and by his sister, Sue Critchfield.
Following his wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed at this time.
