Elaine Evans

Lisbon- Elaine Evans, 84, formerly of Sunset Drive, passed away peacefully at 7:32pm, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Allay Senior Care.Mrs. Evans was born April 17, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late Clarence A. Bruey and the late Mary Alice (Lowry) Bruey Apple and had lived all of her life in the Lisbon area.A 1952 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Elaine worked in the office at Salona Supply Company for 12 years. She then worked for 25 years at McKinley Elementary as a teacher's aide.Mrs. Evans was a faithful member of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, where she was active in the church choir, United Methodist Women and as the church's wedding coordinator. Elaine also was a 40 plus year volunteer with the American Red Cross, where she coordinated the local blood drives. She also coordinated the Girls State program for Lisbon David Anderson High School; was a member of the American Legion Post #275 Ladies Auxiliary; the Lisbon Music Study Club and the Lisbon Community Chorus. Her husband, Gerald E. "Jerry" Evans, whom she married October 17, 1954, preceded her in death September 19, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ruth E. Baker; her brother, Duane Bruey; and her step brothers, Ralph and Lloyd Apple.She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law, Kellie and Robbin "Herbie" Seidner of Lisbon; her grandson, as Elaine said "my sweet boy", Zachary (Chelsea) Seidner of Boardman; and great granddaughter, Layla Ann Seidner.Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, 114 East Washington Street, Lisbon with the Rev. Dr. Wayne Clark and Rev. Kathy Barton co-officiating.
