Lisbon- Elvira M. (Campbell) Rapp, 71, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at UPMC-Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh following a recent illness.
Mrs. Rapp was born September 5, 1952 in Germany, a daughter of the late Donald E. and Inge A. (Obritan) Campbell. Elvira moved from Germany to the United States in the 1960’s and had moved to Lisbon in 1998, coming from Dungannon.
Elvira was fluent in English, German, Spanish and French, and had worked for seven years as a translator in San Sebastián, Spain in her early twenties.
She will forever be remembered as a kindhearted, selfless person, always putting others first. Her love of people and of helping people was truly admired.
She had worked as a bank teller at the Huntington Bank in Lisbon and most recently had worked as a receptionist at Family and Community Services.
Elvira was also a member of the Lisbon Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her husband, Richard Rapp, whom she married September 26, 2017; son, Matthew (Jessica) Campbell; grandchildren, Jackson, Mia and Juliana Campbell; and her beloved fur babies, Flippy and Benji.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her chosen family, Carolyn and Ron Miller.
Following her wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed.
The Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home is assisting her family.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Elvira’s memory to any military organization, such as Tunnel to Towers, the DAV, Wounded Warriors or your local veterans' organization.
