Lisbon- Evelyn D. Hochmann, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at her home.
Mrs. Hochmann was born May 25, 1936 in Lisbon, Ohio, a daughter of the late Burrell A. and Olive T. (McCamon) Reeder.
A 1955 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Evelyn worked for a few years at the former Isaly’s in Lisbon, before she was married.
She was a faithful member of the Lisbon First United Methodist Church, where she helped in the kitchen and was in charge of the dining room for many of the church dinners over the years.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of nearly 70 years, John H. “Hochie” Hochmann, whom she married December 3, 1955; daughter, Lee Ann (Charles) Dawson of Lisbon; son, Jeff (Valerie) Hochmann of Lisbon; sister, Helen (Ken) Moore of Longwood, Florida; brother, George Reeder of East Liverpool; grandchildren, Ashlee Dawson, CJ (Krista) Dawson, and Aaron (Andrea) Hochmann; and great grandchildren, Isaac Hochmann, Charlotte Dawson, Elizabeth Dawson, and great granddaughter, Arielle Hochmann on the way.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn and Ronald Reeder.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Sunday, November 30, 2025 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home. Private burial will take place Monday morning at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive guests from 2pm until 4pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choice.
