Lisbon- Geraldine “Deanie” Moore, 86, went home to be with her Lord on Monday. July 14, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Mrs. Moore was born October 21, 1938 in East Liverpool, a daughter of the late Jack A. and Mary M. (Jacobs) Davis and had lived in the Lisbon area all of her life.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and homemaker, Deanie worked for some time at the former Potters Supply Company as an assembler.
She was a faithful member of the Lisbon Assembly of God Church, where she could often be found playing her drums for Sunday services and during the church sing alongs. Deanie also loved to play cards, especially Euchre, and she enjoyed playing and listening to country western music and good old-fashioned square dances.
Her husband, John F. “Paw Paw” Moore, Sr., whom she married December 29, 1956, preceded her in death on May 8, 2001.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her children, Christine Moore, Lottie (Joe) Henderhan, Lorrie (Bill) Barnes, John Moore, Jr., and Jeffrey Moore; sister, Terry Potts; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to her parents and husband, Deanie was also preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jo “Cissy’ McQuiston, son, Richard Lee “Rick” Moore, sisters, Patricia Harless, Frances Davis, and Evelyn Harmon, and brothers, Jack, Jim, Paul, and Ralph Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at the Lisbon Assembly of God Church, 39442 State Route 517, Lisbon, Ohio 44432 with the Rev. Greg Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive guests from 6pm to 8pm, Wednesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and from 10am until the time of services on Thursday at the church.
