Columbiana-John Albert Gasser, 93, of East Park Ave., passed away early Monday, October 28, 2019 at Whispering Pines in Columbiana.
Mr. Gasser was born December 31, 1925 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Eugene and Bertha (Labbe) Gasser, and had lived most of his life in Kinsman before moving to Lisbon nine years ago.
John was Catholic by faith, a machinist at V&M Star in Youngstown by trade, and a farmer at heart.
He is survived by his children, Regina Gasser, Joan Chop, and Matthew Gasser; dear friend Bernice Monter of Lisbon; many caregivers and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nathalie Gasser; and his brothers, Roger, Dr. Louis, George, and infant brother, Marcel.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Wassie officiating. Friends may visit from 10:30am until the time of services at the funeral home. There will be no procession to the cemetery. Committal services will be held at 1:30pm, Tuesday in the chapel at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
