Lisbon- Judy Lynn Lavalli, 84, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side following a lengthy illness.
Judy was born January 4, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, and was a daughter of the late William and Virginia (Kirby) Bentley and had worked as a clinical director and medical administrator for the Veterans Administration until her retirement.
Judy’s lifelong enthusiasm for horses inspired her to train horses and give riding lessons for many years. She was also an Equestrian coach at South Lyon High School in Michigan, where under her guidance, her team won a state championship title.
Judy leaves her legacy through her children, Megan (Bo) Neville of Lisbon, Russell (Renee) Lavalli of Apple Valley, California and Kimberly (Allen) Rehmann of Munith, Michigan. She is also survived by her sister, Pam (Kelly) Lape of Harrison, Michigan; brothers, William (Carol) Bentley of South Lyon, Michigan and Jim (Sandy) Bentley of Pilot Point, Texas. Judy was the loving grandmother of Tess (fiancé, Conner) Neville of Boardman, Maddie Neville of Lisbon, Cody Lavalli of Apple Valley, California, Cassidy (fiancé, Chris) Lavalli of Apple Valley, California, Jessica Harden of Lansing, Michigan, and Desiree Pardin of Holt, Michigan; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
In addition to her parents, Judy was also preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Herrst; and brother, Ric Bentley.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all of the added support and guidance provided to “Bammer” and Megan by granddaughter, Jessica. Words cannot express how much you helped us during her final months, weeks, and days.
Following Judy’s wishes, no services will be observed at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
