Salineville-Kathy Lee Talamantes, 61, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in the emergency room at East Liverpool City Hospital after suffering a heart attack at her home.
Kathy was born November 25, 1964 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late James O. and Pauline (Howard) Roberts and had lived her entire life in the area.
A 1983 graduate of Southern Local High School, Kathy worked as a machinist at Colfor Manufacturing for 15 years at both the Salem and Minerva Divisions.
She was a member of the Lisbon Assembly of God Church; the Lisbon and Minerva Eagles; enjoyed camping, fishing, going 4 wheeling, gardening and caring for her trees. Kathy loved to watch movies and care for her granddaughters. She will be fondly remembered as someone who cared deeply about people and someone who truly enjoyed helping others.
Her husband, Peter Lee Talamantes, whom she married November 29, 1993, preceded her in death on October 26, 1996.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Tiffany Baker; her brothers, James Allan (Patty) Roberts and Paul Douglas (Deborah) Roberts; and her granddaughters, Finley Lee Roush and Oaklynn Grace Rouse; and her loving companion of 27 years, George Surmaceviz.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm, Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends and family from 11am until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
