Lisbon-Lillian Virginia McVay, 85, passed away at her home in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 22, 2025 with her loving family at her side.
Mrs. McVay was born July 28, 1940 in Toronto, Ohio, a daughter of the late Alva and Clara Mae (Waggoner) Bowles.
Lillian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed and cherished her family and the memories they made.
Her husband, Clyde Lawrence McVay, whom she married August 16, 1957, preceded her in death on August 7, 2013.
Lillian leaves behind her daughter, Tina Ketchum of Salem, sons, Joe McVay and Albert McVay, both of Lisbon; a half-brother, Ralph Brown of Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Clyde, Lillian was also preceded in death by her children, Wesley, John, Clyde Jr, Timothy, and Rebecca; sisters, Phyllis Baroles and Betty Flegle; brother, Charles “Chuck” Bowles; half-brother, Junior Brown: and granddaughter, April Lynn McVay.
Private burial will take place at the Lee Cemetery in Lisbon.
Arrangements are in the care of the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
