Lisbon- Linda Kay Arter, 75, of Middle Beaver Rd., passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025 at the East Liverpool City Hospital with her family by her side.
Mrs. Arter was born February 24, 1950 in Salem, a daughter of the late Frank Beeson Sr. and the late Katherine (Barnard) Roof, and was a life resident of the area.
A graduate of Salem High School, Linda worked as a Candy Striper at Salem Hospital prior to marriage and had also worked at the former Lisbon Help Center.
She was also a former member of St. Jacob’s United Church of Christ.
Her husband, Paul E. Arter, whom she married March 25, 1972, preceded her in death March 22, 2021.
She is also leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Polly A.( fiancé, Chris Kugler) Arter of Rogers, Perry F. (fiancée, Jennifer Branch) Arter of Lisbon, and Bessie E. (Norman) Oesch of Calcutta; sister, Darlene (Steve) Shutler of Millington, Tennessee; grandchildren; Jenny, Mandy, Brittany, Earl, Dathan, Megan, Robbie, Trista, Daylen, Emily, Bradley, Hunter, Zayden, and Brody; great grandchildren, Grayson, RJ, Kerrigan, Carter, Alex, Ollie, and Octavia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Frank Beeson, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Kelli Hephner officiating. Burial will follow at St. Jacob’s U.C.C. Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
