Salem- Mary Ann Chock, 73, passed away peacefully Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Circle of Care.
Mary Ann was born May 25, 1951 in Salem, a daughter of the late William and Margaret C. (Batcha) Vietmeier.
She lived most of her life in California, graduating from Rosemead High School in Rosemead California, returning to the Salem area in 2009.
A catholic by faith, she worked as a grocery cashier for 36 years, retiring in 2005 from Albertson’s.
She will be remembered as a hardworking, loving wife, caring mother and grandmother.
Her husband, Norman Chock, whom she married February 28, 1986, preceded her in death April 19, 2008.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her daughter, Amy (Ezra Wyche) Darchuk of Charlotte, NC; son, Nathan (Kelli Harrison) Chock of Corona, CA.; sister, Jeanne Packard of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Gabrielle Huffstetler, Chloe Chock, Kaitlyn Chock, and Norman Chock II, and great granddaughter, Kylie Huffstetler.
A funeral service will be held at 5pm, Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Judy Noel officiating. Private burial will take place in the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive guests from 3pm until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
