Mary Ann Bowman

Lisbon- Mary Ann Bowman, 83, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a recent illness.

Mary Ann was born February 1, 1943 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Louise (Gorshin) Zaplata.

A 1961 graduate of Beaver Local High School, she worked alongside her husband, Dean, on their multi-generation family farm.  She was often found tending to her flowers, mowing and trimming, transforming the family farm into a picture-perfect showplace. Mary Ann was also a die-hard faithful Pittsburgh Steelers fan and member of the Williamsport Chapel.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Dean E. Bowman, whom she married June 24, 1961; her daughters, Becky (Scott) Lease of Salem,  Kathy Bowman of Windham, and Jenny (Mike) McIntyre of Lisbon; grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin) Fodrey, Tad (Shawn) Lease, Zack (Chelsea) Lease, and Kole McIntrye; great grandchildren, Garrett Lease, Gavin Lease, Lisa Fodrey and Oliver Lease; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was also preceded in death by her daughter, Gretchen Harshman.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, March 16, 2026 at the Williamsport Chapel,12834 Leslie Rd., Lisbon, just off State Route 7, six miles south of Rogers with Kelli Hephner officiating.  Burial will follow at the Clarkson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 5pm Sunday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home and from 10am until the time of services Monday at the church.
