Ravenna, OH- Mary Lou Boyce Temple, 90 years young and formerly of Salineville, passed away quietly on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Temple was born in a redbrick farmhouse outside of Wellsville on March 27, 1935, a daughter of the late Robert Barnes Boyce and Roma Violet (Billingsley) Boyce.
A 1953 graduate of Wellsville High School, Mary Lou worked as a property manager for Belmont Properties for 38 years and was actively involved with the American Cancer Society. She loved watching her grandchildren play sports, cheerlead and dance recitals.
She also enjoyed watching Ohio State Football, the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians on T.V. as well as anyone who was playing tennis. Mary Lou loved working crossword puzzles, playing card games and board games, but above everything, her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family.
Her husband, Harry Dean “Diz” Temple, whom she married June 5, 1954, preceded her in death on March 25, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her four siblings, Anna Boyce, Betty Dailey, Lindy Boyce, and Bill Boyce.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her daughters, Susan Temple and Michelle (Tom) Jones; her grandchildren, Brianna Temple Browne and Connor Evan (Alexa) Browne; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Mae Browne and Arthur Dean “Bubby” Browne.
A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in the chapel at Woodland Cemetery, 200 Summitville Rd., Salineville, Ohio 43945 with Gwen Ketchum officiating. She will be laid to rest beside Diz following the services.
