Lisbon-Nola L. Carman, 85, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Brookdale Senior Living in Salem following a recent illness surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Carman was born March 20, 1941 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Forest B. and Thelma (Burnip) McClintock and had lived most of her life in Lisbon.
A 1959 graduate of Lisbon David Anderson High School, Nola worked as a caseworker for 27 years at Columbiana County Department of Job and Family Services, until she retired.
She was a faithful member of the Lisbon First Christian Church; West Point Lions Club; East Liverpool Beagle Club; and she loved to knit and crochet. She and her late husband, Jerry loved to sit on their porch and bird watch and enjoy the outdoors.
Her husband, Gerald R. “Jerry” Carman, whom she married August 12, 1959, preceded her in death October 23, 2023. He was also preceded in death by her son, Bruce W. Carman.
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her son, Ben (Lori Sweeney) Carman; sister, Marcia Manning; daughter-in-law, Marcy Carman; grandchildren, Ben Carman Jr., Miranda (Chris) Forstall, and Alex (Jenna) Carman; great grandchildren, Nola J. Forstall, Alta Forstall, Lily Carman, and Wesley Carman.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm, Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Garwood officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends from 11am until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Nola’s family would also like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Brookdale Senior Living and the nurses and aides from Patriot Hospice for their love, support and excellent care during her stay at Brookdale.
