Salem- Pauline V. Gauntt, 66, formerly of Lisbon, passed away quietly on Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness.
Pauline was born June 8, 1959 in Lovettsville, Virginia, a daughter of the late Albert E. and Arlene (Bohrer) Hobbs, Sr.
A homemaker, Pauline had worked as a crossing guard for the Lisbon Elementary School at one time. She also enjoyed going shopping and doing word searches and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Michael Branch, Pam Huges, Jetta Rael, Rebecca Ray, Jason Gauntt, Steven Brownell and Julie Gauntt; siblings, Alice Loy, Melody Hobbs, Dorothy Adeleman, Margie Loy, Albert Hobbs, Jr., and James Hobbs; 9 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her uncle, Charles Bohrer.
A celebration of Pauline’s life will be held at a later date and will be announced.
