Peter J. "Pete" Traversa

Struthers, OH- Peter J. “Pete” Traversa, 70, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 11, 2026 at his home.

Pete was born November 23, 1955 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Rudolph V. “Rudy” and Patricia M. “Elaine” (Pavlos) Traversa.

He was a certified electrician and had worked at North Star Steel, V&M Star, and retired from Astro Shapes in Struthers in 2018.

A Catholic by faith, Pete was athletic and had played football in high school and enjoyed playing golf later in life.  He was also a sports enthusiast and rooted for the Cleveland Browns, the Cavs and the Indians.  Pete also loved being on the water and going fishing.  He also enjoyed working around the house and gardening.  He was also a former member of the Lisbon Eagles.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his daughter, Jenna (Zach Lake) Traversa; his granddaughter, Charliann Lake; his sister, Twila (Greg) Kerr; his fiancée, Michelle DeVille; his former wife, Faye Traversa; and several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, Pete was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bob” Davis.

Following his wishes, no services will be observed at this time.
