Savannah, GA-Regina M. “Gina” Farinelli, 73, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 22, 2025 at her home.
Gina was born February 10, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Sabatino “Sam” and Dolores “Dee” (Blanco) Farinelli.
Gina was a 1970 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Following graduation, she attended Youngstown State University, where she received a bachelor's degree in business administration. Gina also received her master’s degree in business from Kent State University, and a master’s degree in education from St. Mary’s College in California.
Gina was employed for many years as a regional manager for the Kimberly Clark Corporation in North Canton, Ohio, before deciding to move to Pasadena, California, where she worked as a production associate for Universal Studios for several years, before becoming a teacher in the East Los Angeles School System, until she retired in 2021. Gina then moved to Savannah, Georgia.
Gina leaves to cherish her memories, her two brothers, Sammy Jo (Colleen) Farinelli of Boardman, and Daniel (Anita) Farinelli of Petersburg, Ohio. She also leaves her nieces and nephews, Dana (Tim) Smith, Ashley (Joe) Morley, Samantha (Andy) Parker, Daniel (Carly) Farinelli, Nina Farinelli, and Shannon (Blaine) Lott; as well as great nieces and nephews, Connor Smith, Kashton Parker, Scarlett Morley, and Sophia and Lucille Farinelli.
Upon Gina’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made in Gina’s name to Animal Charity of Ohio, 8469 Southern Blvd, Building #3, Youngstown, Ohio 44514.
